Wired Alarm Systems
For Homes & Residential Buildings
The most traditional form of home security is the tried and true wired alarm system. A wired alarm system is typically installed during construction or renovation of a home. While it’s true that wired alarm systems can be installed in a finished home, the installation process will typically require drilling into walls and/or ceilings and floors to ensure proper installation.
At the most basic level, a wired alarm system works by installing security sensors throughout the home and then wiring those sensors to a main alarm panel. Features like motion detectors, surveillance cameras and other security measures can also be wired into this alarm panel. These ‘hardwired’ systems are typically more cost-effective than wireless systems and offer nearly unlimited flexibility in terms of programmable features.
